- Make a paste from green chilli, coriander leaves, tomato and fried onions..
- Wash mutton pieces well and add curd in it..
- Add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt..
- Keep marinade for 2 hours..
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker..
- Add the marinated mutton, tomato paste and fry on high heat for 4-5 minutes, then add 1 cup of water and pressure cook until mutton is tender..
- Heat ghee in a pan and put whole garam masalas..
- Add washed rice and fry for a minute..
- Add water and salt and cook the rice until it is 90% cooked..
- Transfer the cooked mutton in a heavy bottom pan..
- Add the rice and layer it over the mutton evenly..
- Now again make layers of cooked mutton and rice..
- Sprinkle saffron soaked in milk, golden brown frief onion and coriander leaves on top..
- Cover the pan tightly with a lid, place the pan on a very slow heat for 10-15 minutes..
- Serve hot mutton biryani with salad..
